11th annual National city turkey giveaway
MGBW is happy to announce 100+ turkeys will be donated and handed out at National City’s 11th annual turkey giveaway to families in need. Select employees will be participating on November 22 to feed nearly 700 families.
HOLIDAY PARTY FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question: Is the ship going to sail? What if I get sea sick?
Answer: The Star of India will stay dockside during the entire event. There’ll be slight movement on the vessel and uneven surfaces. We recommend you wear flat shoes or low heels. We’ll have motion sickness patches on board if you later decide to need them.
Question: Will it be too cold if we wear flapper dresses being on the bay?
Answer: Two of the three decks are indoors and should be fairly cozy with the amount of guests estimated to attend. The main deck is outdoors so we’re looking at getting heaters as well as a coat check. Hopefully San Diego will bless us with a warm winter night just for us!
Question: Will there be plenty of seating?
Answer: Yes! We have a banquet hall for a sit down dinner mixed with belly bars and lounge furniture throughout the ship.
Question: Is dinner going to be served or should we eat first?
Answer: We selected the best and most popular dishes from the #1 voted caterer in San Diego. You’ll get heavy appetizers to start with a buffet dinner.
